peer support groups
At Harry’s Pals we realise the importance of speaking to families who just get it.
At Harry’s Pals, we know the journey of being a parent carer can be overwhelming, isolating, and emotionally exhausting. That’s why building a strong, understanding community is at the heart of what we do.
We’re so excited to announce the launch of our newest service – Online Peer Support Groups – for parent carers of children with life- limiting and life-threatening conditions.

These groups offer a safe, non-judgemental space to:
- Access emotional support and understanding from people who “get it”
- Learn from each other’s experiences
- Hear from experts on a range of subjects to further support you practically and emotionally
- Just be you – no filters, no pressure
Being a parent carer is tough, but you don’t have to go through it alone. Our online groups are here to help you feel supported, empowered, and less isolated.
Meetings take place on Microsoft Teams and we have two sessions a month; one where we invite a guest speaker to talk to the group and another which is a more casual chat amongst peers.
The guest speaker session is a really useful webinar, where we ask an expert within a certain field to share their knowledge and expertise in a range of really useful subjects such as finance, well-being and sibling support.
During each month we also hold a parent carer hour – where we invite our community of mums and dads to come together for a cuppa and a chat.
